Multiwave Cerenkov generator with nonuniform slow-wave structures

Description
Influence of a distributed reflector on parameters of microwave radiation of Cerenkov generators with overmoded slow-wave structures (SWS) was investigated both experimentally and theoretically. It was shown that reflector using results in the change of frequency dependence of the SWS reflection coefficient, stability and generation efficiency increase. Radiation pulses with the power of ∼1.4 GW at the efficiency of ∼30% were obtained at the electron energy up to 500 keV
