Cyclotron radiation from toroidal plasmas
Description
In this report cyclotron emission of a toroidal or cylindrical plasma is calculated on the assumption of MAXWELL-distributed electrons and KIRCHHOFF's law. The plasma density and temperature depend only on the distance r from the minor torus axis, wall reflectivity being taken into account. The radiation intensity at the plasma surface is computed numerically; some formulae interpolating the results are given. Furthermore, some spectra are presented in which the specific intensity is plotted versus the frequency. (orig.)

Die Zyklotronemission eines toroidalen oder zylindrischen Plasmas wird unter der Annahme einer Maxwell'schen Elektronenverteilung und des Kirchhoff'schen Gesetzes berechnet. Plasmadichte und -temperatur sind allein von der Entfernung r zur kleinen Torusachse abhaengig, wobei die Reflektion an der Wand in Betracht gezogen wird. Die Strahlungsintensitaet an der Plasmaoberflaeche wird numerisch berechnet; einige Formeln zur Interpolation der Ergebnisse werden angegeben. Ferner werden einige Spektren vorgelegt, in denen die spezifische Intensitaet ueber der Frequenz eingezeichnet ist. (orig.)
