Local characterization of phases and phase transitions in BaZrF6

Description
The hyperfine quadrupole interaction of BaZrF6 was determined in the room-temperature to 720 deg. C range. The study of the thermal behaviour of the hyperfine parameters identified an extended phase transition from α-BaZrF6 to β-BaZrF6 and the existence of a distorted low-temperature β-phase. (author)
