Description
Gross ionization cross sections for C3H4 and C4H6 isomers were measured under impact of 6 MeV/amu fully stripped ions with charge stats q=1, 2, 6, 10, and 18. The cross sections for methylacetylene were found to be slightly larger than those for allene in all projectiles studied here, indicating an isomer effect on ionization probabilities. Also, we estimated partial ionization cross sections for these molecules. Mechanisms relevant to the production of fragmented ions were discussed. (author)
