Hydrogen diffusion electrical resistance and internal friction in iron and Fe-1,5 per cent Ni alloy

Description
The paper deals with the temperature dependence of the diffusion coefficient D and penetration factor P for hydrogen in pure iron and in a 1.5% Ni iron alloy over the temperature range 3700-9100C, together with the temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity rho and internal friction Q-1. The abnormal (discontinuous) variation in diffusion and permeability in the 1.5% Ni iron alloy within the phase transition region α reversible γ coincides in terms of type and temperature range with variation in electrical resistivity and, more especially, in internal friction.
