The simplification of the loop-counting method for the 2D Ising model
Description
The proof of the loop-counting method for the 2D Ising model is simplified by analysing the root of the determinant of the transfer matrix. The one-to-one correspondence between the partition function and the root is obtained in a way which is more transparent than in other approaches. In the proposed method the vanishing of certain classes of loop diagrams takes place automatically. (author)
