Determination of the spin of excited levels during neutron capture by tungsten-183

Description
By simultaneous analysis of the distribution in energy and in time of the y rays produced by capture, in a tungsten target, of neutrons selected by the time of flight method, the following values have been found for the spin of the states of the compound nucleus 184W corresponding to the various capture resonances: J = I (7.62, 27.1, 40.8, 46.6 and 65.7 eV); J = O (48.1 eV). Abstract (French)
En analysant simultanement la distribution en energie et en temps des rayonnements γ produits par la capture dans une cible de tungstene des neutrons selectionnes par la methode du temps-de-vol, les valeurs suivantes ont ete determinees pour le spin des etats du noyau compose 184W correspondant aux diverses resonances de capture: J = I (7,62, 27,1, 40,8, 46,6 et 65,7 eV); J = O (48,1 eV).
