Spin content of the protons in the Skyrme model
Description
We present the Skyrme model predictions for the quark contribution to the proton spin. We introduce an effective operator that corresponds to anti uγμγ5u+anti dγμγ5d+anti sγμγ5s, and calculate its matrix element in the proton state. Numerical results depend on what version of the Skyrme model is chosen, but can be summarized in the form Δu+Δd+Δs = 0.2±0.1. (orig.)
