On the theory of temperature field formation of metals in the field of a gaussian ion beam

Description
Based on the system of interrelated heat conduction equations for the lattice and electron gas temperatures, the features of formation of unsteady temperature field in metal plates in the field of a Gaussian ion beam are theoretically studied. It is taken into account that the thermal conductivity of electron gas is two orders of magnitude higher than thermal conductivity of lattice. To solve the problem, the Laplace integral transforms in time and Hankel in radius have been used. A set of boundary conditions necessary for solving the differential equation has been formulated.
