To the estimation of the limiting equilibrium plasma pressure in the stellarator with a large magnetic shear
Description
The refined estimate of the equilibrium plasma pressure in stellarators With a laAge shear is given. It is determined that the parameter βsub(c)=8πp/B2 proved to be by an order higher than values obtained by traditional approach ignoring the action of the high gradient of the poloidal component of the magnetic field. It is noted that a stellarator device with βsub(e) of the order of 10% is realizable in the absence of the current in the plasma
