Ventilation systems in nuclear power plants

Description

The rule is to be applied to permanently installed ventilation systems in pressure, boiling water and high temperature reactors. In the installation-specific requirements of sections 5.2, 5.3 and 6 the application of the rule is normally limited to pressure and boiling water reactors. Beyond this, basic requirements for mobile filter systems are furnished. The ventilation facilities are assigned to certain space clusters which are listed in the annex as examples for present power plant concepts for the types of pressure and boiling water reactors. With other concepts, for example containment vessels with double sealing films, the rule concerning the requirements for ventilation systems is to be used according to function. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Die Regel ist anzuwenden auf festinstallierte lueftungstechnische Anlagen in DWR, im SWR, und in HTR. In den anlagenspezifischen Forderungen der Abschnitte 5.2, 5.3 und 6 ist die Anwendung der Regel auf DWR und SWR beschraenkt. Darueber hinaus werden grundsaetzliche Anforderungen an mobile Filteranlagen angegeben. Die lueftungstechnischen Einrichtungen werden bestimmten Raumgruppen zugeordnet, die im Anhang als Beispiele fuer die derzeitigen Kraftwerkskonzepte der Reaktortypen DWR und SWR angegeben sind. Bei anderer Konzeption, z.B. Sicherheitsbehaelter mit doppelter Dichthaut, ist die Regel bezueglich der Anforderungen an die lueftungstechnischen Anlagen entsprechend ihrer Funktion anzuwenden.
