Monte Carlo calculation of kinetic parameters to deduce pilot rod worth of FUBILA MOX cores

Description

Point kinetics parameters of full MOX A BWR cores mocked in the FUBILA experimental program are calculated with the Iterated Fission Probability (IFP) method. The effective delayed neutron fraction re partition per isotope and precursor family are obtained based on the Jeff-3.1.1 library, where the delayed neutron emission data are evaluated in 8 groups of precursor family. Once the kinetic parameters are computed, the worth of the pilot rod in each core is deduced by the measured variation of neutron flux with time after insertion / withdrawal of the rod. The newly evaluated worth agrees with the reactivity deduced by calculated effective neutron multiplication factors for the pilot rod insertion / withdrawal. (Author)
