Description
Radioactive Strontium is one of the most important radioactive nuclides as well as radioactive cesium in the nuclear accident. Due to the difficulties on quantification, the studies of strontium released by the accident of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, still have been lacked compared from these of cesium. Comparison of radioactivities for different chemical elements are important to investigate the emission process of radionuclides at the accident. We prepared 6 soil samples collected in 2016 to analyze strontium that located different direction from the nuclear plant. In this study, we determined 90Sr concentration in soil samples using solid phase extraction method, and investigated its distribution on land and 90Sr/137Cs in each sample. The concentration of 90Sr was high in the northwest and south-southwest directions. 90Sr/137Cs are order of 10-4 for all samples, but relatively higher ratios were obtained especially in northwest direction.
