Leach rate characterization of solid radioactive waste forms
Description
Leach rates for a number of proposed radioactive waste forms have been measured. A neutron activation analysis technique has been used exclusively for these measurements. Leach rates as low as 10-9g/cm2d were easily determined. Problems associated with surface area determination, sample preparation and data interpretation are discussed
