Annual public information report about the Creys-Malville nuclear facilities - 2015. This report is written in compliance with articles L.125-15 and L.125-16 of the French environment code

This safety report was established under the article 21 of the French law no. 2006-686 of June 13, 2006 relative to nuclear safety and information transparency. It presents, first, the partially dismantled facilities of the Creys-Malville nuclear power plant (also known as Superphenix power plant, INB no. 91, Creys-Mepieu - Isere (FR)) and the other fuel and waste storage facilities of the site (INB no. 141) with the main works in progress and maintenance activities. Then, the actions for the prevention and limitation of risks and their drawbacks are reviewed: definitions and goals, risks prevention and limitation, nuclear safety, fire hazard control, industrial fluids use and hazards control, complementary safety evaluations carried out after the Fukushima accident, crisis management. Next, it deals with the preventive measures implemented to monitor the environmental impacts of the facilities: intakes and discharges, monitoring of liquid and gaseous radioactive effluents, chemical effluents, heat pollution, nuisances, periodical examinations, internal and external controls, actions of improvement (training, administrative procedures). Next, the personnel radiation protection, the incidents and accidents that occurred during the past year (if any), and the results of radioactive and non-radioactive effluents analyses are reviewed. Finally, the radioactive and non-radioactive waste management as well as the actions of communication and public information made by the direction of the facility are presented.
