Designing ion pumps to accelerator specifications
Description
Problems which arise when designing an ion pump to particle accelerator specifications and the conflicting needs which must be satisfied are considered. It is emphasized that the pump and its power supply must be designed as a combined unit since only by their proper matching can the required specifications be achieved. (U.K.)
