Experimental research of Pm147 high-voltage radioisotope batteries characteristics
Description
The role of the electrode geometry, thickness of a radioactive compound layer on the emitter surface, vacuum level in the interelectrode gap is considered. Mock-ups and prototypes of nuclear batteries based on the Pm147 source were produced. Batteries of that type can be used as power supplies for various electronic devices which require high stable voltage. (author)
