Some contributions to the viscosity temperature dependence of silicate melts

Description

A new equation is proposed to determine the temperature dependence and viscosity of silicate melts using density or specific volume data. The validity of this equation is tested in the case of rock melts and liquid silicate glasses and is applied to sodium-meta-phosphate, boron acid anhydrid, borax, several salts, organic liquids with hydroxylic bonds and water. Abstract (German)

Es wird eine neue Gleichung fuer die Temperaturabhaengigkeit und Viskositaet von Silikatschmelzen vorgeschlagen, die die Angaben fuer die Dichte oder das spezifische Volumen bestaetigt. Die Gleichung wurde an Schmelzen von Gestein und Silikatglaesern nachgeprueft und ausserdem auf Natriummetaphosphat, Borsaeureanhydrid, Borax, einige Salze, organische Fluessigkeiten mit Hydroxylbindung und auf Wasser angewandt.
