Temperature dependence of specific electric resistivity and structure of liquid eutectic alloys of the Ge-Te and Ag-Ge systems

The temperature dependence of electrical resistivity and structure of liquid eutectic alloys of the systems Ge-Te and Ag-Ge is investigated. For both systems a different temperature behaviour has been found. The concentration dependence of the electrical resistivity of liquid Ge-Te alloys reaches a minimum at the eutectic concentration. The electrical resistivity of eutectic Ge/sub 0.15/Te/sub 0.85/ alloys is strongly temperature-dependent contrary to that of eutectic Ag/sub 0.741/Ge/sub 0.259/ alloys. This different temperature behaviour is reflected in the temperature dependences of distance values and coordination numbers of the first coordination sphere as well as of structure factors and pair correlation factors of the investigated alloys
