Texture and mechanical properties of Zirconium alloy tubing

Creators

  • 1. Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, Chalk River, Ontario (Canada)

Description

The anisotropic mechanical properties of zirconium alloy tubes are shown to be due to the crystallographic texture. The effect of fabrication variables on the texture developed in tubes is discussed and the principles outlined so that texture hardening can be exploited. (author)
