Neutron energy spectra on a surface of cylindrical lead target irradiated by 1 GeV protons

Description

Measurement results of neutron spectra on the surface of a lead target 200 mm in diameter and 600 mm long are presented. 1 GeV proton beam passed along the target axis. The beam was 25.1 mm in vertical direction and 32.7 mm in horizontal direction. Integral proton flux is 1.2x1016, the flux intensity is 2.1x1012 s-1. The method of activation detectors is used for the neutron spectrum measurement. The STAY'SL program was used for the decoding of the data obtained
