Cavitation boiling of different liquids
Description
Complex investigation into the heat transfer in the transition boiling region of significantly subcooled high-boiling liquids has been carried out. Anomalous dependence of the heat flux density on the temperature head is detected. Comparative analysis of the investigation results of the He-2 noise boiling and boiling in the transition region of significantly subcooled natural liquids has been carried out. It is shown that a similar physical mechanism in the basis for both phenomena considered. Cavitation collapse of vapour formations and periodic interchange of wall contacts with a liquid and vapour is determining processes. Temperature jump on the interphase surface is considered as an analog of subcooling in He-2. Application of this parameter allows for reducing the number of independent variables when describing noise boiling of superfluid helium
