Pionic distorsion factors for radiative pion capture studies

Description
The effects of the nuclear interaction on the pion atomic wavefunction are considered by means of a distorsion factor. The definition and the calculation of this factor for inclusive capture processes is the subject of this work. The sensitivity to the optical potential and nuclear density parametrization is considered. Systematic results for 1s, 2p and 3d levels are given for A≤40 nuclei, and a fit in terms of ZA1/3 is also given. (orig.)
