Physics of fast reactor control rods
Description
The role of control rods in a fast reactor and the problems of design are summarized. Some of the design aspects of control rods are covered in detail. The neutron physics characteristics of control rods are discussed, the calculational methods presently used are summarized and the experimental information obtained to validate these calculational methods are reviewed.
