Description

Neutron diffraction studies of lead zirconate titanate Pb(Zrx Ti1-x)O3 (PZT) powders, 0.20≤x≤0.54, were carried out at 10 K and 297 K. The phase transition predicted by our earlier Raman observations (J. Frantti, J. Lappalainen, V. Lantto, S. Nishio and M. Kakihana: Jpn. J. Appl. Phys. 38(1999) 5679) was confirmed. The importance of the A- and B-cation displacements in structural changes as a function of Zr content is discussed. (author)
