Description
The magnetic phases of corrosion products from steam generators and secondary circuit pipes of the Jaslovske Bohunice nuclear power plant (WWER-440 type) were investigated using transmission Moessbauer spectroscopy. Magnetite (Fe3O4) and hematite (α-Fe2O3) in different ratios are the main components of the corrosion products from the secondary circuit. The results can be used in the control and maintenance of WWER-440 nuclear reactors as well as in the optimisation of the water chemistry regime
