High-resolution alpha autoradiography by using CR-39 track detectors with AFM
- 1. Tokyo Univ., Dept. of Quantum Engineering and Systems Science, Tokyo (Japan)
Description
We have demonstrated the high-resolution neutron-induced alpha autoradiography on the contact UV microscopy using CR-39 plastics with AFM (atomic force microscopy). We can simultaneously observe the cell images and alpha/lithium particles tracks from boron compounds because the resolution of this imaging method is less than 140 nm and nearly equal to contact X-ray microscopy. Near-field effect may improve the imaging resolution due to short etching time to reduce etching volume. (T. Tanaka)
