Determination of radionuclidic purity

Description

A purity control method for standard solutions of 35S, 32P, 90Sr and 147Pm was designed. The method is based on an analysis of the beta spectrum by the Fermi-Kurie plot technique using a Si(Li) semiconductor beta spectrometer. For nuclides 35S and 147Pm, an overall standardization accuracy of 1.5% and 2.5%, respectively, may be guaranteed. To ensure the required standardization accuracy of 1% for the nuclides 90Sr and 32P, a comparison with the spectrum of the pure nuclide has to be used. (author)
