Description
The 184W + 232Th reaction has been studied at Esub(Lab) = 8.2 MeV/u in order to test the influence of shells on the mean value of the element distributions in damped collisions. No significant drift toward the 208Pb + 208Pb system has been observed. A comparison with the 184W + 184W collision sets an upper limit of one charge unit to the drift. (orig.)
