Synthesis and crystal structure of the new lead borophosphate Pb2[BP2O8(OH)]

Description
By the method of hydrothermal synthesis crystals of the new lead borophosphate Pb2[BP2O8(OH)] are prepared. The structure is determined without knowledge of chemical formulae by the heavy atom method: a=5.695(8), b=16.05(4), c=8.064(9) A, γ=94.77(4) Deg, sp.gr. P21/n. Anionic radical is represented by [BP2O8(OH)]4- tape drawn along axe c and composed by the way of condensation of block-groups of four tetrahedrons: central boron one and three end phosphorus ones. Formation of the new structure is related with presence of H+ ions in solution that leads to protonation of the one of oxygen atoms of B-tetrahedron of anionic radical
Abstract (Russian)
Методом гидротермального синтеза получены кристаллы нового борофосфата свинца Pb2[BP2O8(OH)]. Структура определена без знания химической формулы методом тяжелого атома: a=5.695(8), b=16.05(4), c=8.064(9) A, γ=94.77(4) град, пр.гр. P21/n. Анионный радикал представлен лентой [BP2O8(OH)]4-, вытянутой вдоль оси c и составленной путем конденсации блоков-группировок из четверок тетраэдров: центрального борного и трех концевых фосфорных. Образование новой структуры связано с присутствием в растворе ионов H+, что приводит к протонизации одного из атомов кислорода B-тетраэдра анионного радикалаAdditional details
