Comparison between data on compressibility of substances obtained in the laboratory environments and data obtained during underground nuclear explosions
Description
A comparison of compressibility data on various substances obtained in the laboratory environment and during underground nuclear explosions, has been presented. Substances used for comparison were, silica, dolomite, shale, graphite, plexiglass, porous copper, rock salt, aluminium and molybdenum. A general agreement was found between data obtained by different generators of shock waves, for the samples studied. (author)
