Fast neutron production (Pn ≥ 1 GeV/c) in 12Cp and 12C12C interactions at pc=4.2 GeV/c per nucleon

Description
Multiplicity, momentum and angular characteristics of secondary fast neutrons (pn≥1 GeV/c) in elastic 12Cp, 12C12C and 12C12C(M) interactions have been obtained. These are analyzed by the secondary neutral stars generated by neutrons in a 2 m propane bubble chamber. Neutrons-spectators (Nnst) from a projectile-nucleus (12C) and neutrons-''participants'' (Nnpart) with pn≥1 GeV/c have been separated. Experimental data on inelastic CC interactions are satisfactorily described by the cascade model of nuclear collisions
