Morpho-syntactic analysis of Arabic language by a learning method

Description
We describe in this paper a morphologic analysis model based on the use of a micro-syntax which governs the composition of prefixes and suffixes in a word. In the case of the Arabic language, this model is completed by using the idea of 'scheme'. The results of the morphologic analysis are used by the syntactic analysis. We show that the case-endings can play a very important part to remove grammatical ambiguities. (author)
Abstract (French)
On decrit dans ce travail un modele d'analyse morphologique base sur l'emploi d'une micro-syntaxe regissant la composition des prefixes et suffixes dans un mot. Dans le cas de l'arabe, ce modele est complete par la notion de scheme. Les resultats grammaticaux de l'analyse morphologique sont utilises par l'analyse syntaxique. Nous montrons que la flexion casuelle peut jouer un role important dans la levee des ambiguites grammaticales. (auteur)Files
