Wind power R and D seminar -20 TWh in 2020?

Norway has enormous wind resources that can be utilized in power production. Development of these resources will contribute to securing Norwegian energy balance and reach climate goals, but also provide opportunity for new industry development. This is something Norwegian R and D environments, power producers and industry have taken interest in, and many promising results have already been made as presented in this report. A reproduction of the presentations from the seminar Wind power R and D seminar 26-27 January 2006 in Trondheim is provided. The seminar is a follow-up from previous, corresponding arrangements in January 2004 and 2005, and it has been established as an important meeting place for all Norwegian wind power actors. The following themes are presented: politics and planning, network integration, blades, wind and icing, and offshore technology. The seminar is jointly arranged by SINTEF, IFE and NTNU, by John Olav Tande (SINTEF Energiforskning), Per Finden (IFE/NTNU), Tore Undeland (NTNU), Geir Moe (NTNU), Terje Gjengedal (Statkraft/NTNU) and Olav Fosso (NTNU) (ml).
