The decomposition of hydrides in zirconium alloys
- 1. Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd., Chalk River (Canada)
Description
The decomposition of hydrides in Zr-2.5 wt% Nb has been studied, using metallography to reveal hydride precipitates. In some conditions the rate of decomposition is lower in Zr-2.5 wt% Nb than in Zircaloy-4, and is decreased further by an applied tensile stress
