Description

Idiopathic arterial calcification of infancy is an extremely rare disorder of unknown cause. As the name suggests, it is primarily characterized by extensive arterial wall calcification. In addition, it presents with not only secondary findings related to the calcification but also other nonassociated radiologic features. We present 2 cases that illustrate the radiologic spectrum associated with this entity. The use of computed tomography (CT) and ultrasonography (US) as investigative modalities is also discussed.
