Laboratory studies on physical benefications of low grade uranium ores
Description
A uranium ore deposit found at Larap, Joe Panganibom, Camerines Norte, Philippines, was obtained for laboratory scale physical beneficiation studies. The physical beneficiation methods consisted of primary and secondary crushing, grinding, magnetic separation and flotation. The degree of grinding and thus, the size of ore particles required to effect liberation of the uranium were investigated. Magnetic separation was employed to remove the magnetite from the heavy mineral concentrate and flotation method, was used for separation of sulfide (author)
