A numerical scheme in three time levels applied to a non linear problem of heat and mass transfer in cylindrical geometry

  • 1. Centro Tecnico Aeroespacial (CTA-IEAv), Sao Jose dos Campos, SP (Brazil). Inst. de Estudos Avancados

Description

Here we have used a three-time-level scheme to obtain numerical solutions of heat and mass transfer potentials for a nonlinear problem in a infinite cylindrical porous medium. The thermal conductivity and mass conductivity of the material are dependent on temperature and mass transfer potential, respectively. Relative errors are examined when the solutions are compared to the analytical solutions for the linear problem. (author)
