In order to manufacture roentgen-optical components with surface tolerances in the nanometer and subnanometer range measuring instruments are to develop. The author deals with existing instrument solutions, manufacturing problems of the roentgen optics, measuring methods, limits of optical methods and of the contact stylus, absolute measurements, and manufacturing principles for roentgen optics.
