Development of a tool to capture of the human movement for biometric analysis

Description

A tool is developed for the measurement of stability static and dynamic of people. The Wii RemoteTM was chosen as the system to capture body movement. The measurements of the gyroscopes and accelerometers are obtained from the wiimote adhered to a part of the human body. Dynamic stability parameters are calculated using the wiimote. Dynamic stability data are compared between IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) and wiimote. The position, orientation, etc. are recreated from measurements of the wiimote. The study of new motion capture techniques is recommended for the analysis of dynamic stability

Una herramienta es desarrollada para la medicion de la estabilidad estatica y dinamica de personas. El Wii RemoteTM fue escogido como el sistema para capturar el movimiento corporal. Las mediciones de los giroscopios y acelerometros son obtenidas del wiimote adherido a una parte del cuerpo humano. Los parametros de estabilidad dinamica son calculados usando el wiimote. Los datos de estabilidad dinamica son comparados entre IMU (unidades inerciales) y wiimote. La posicion, orientacion, etc. son recreadas a partir de las mediciones del wiimote. El estudio de nuevas tecnicas de captura de movimiento es recomendado para el analisis de la estabilidad dinamica
