Collective quantum Hamiltonian and the variable-moment-of-inertia model
Description
A procedure is proposed for determining the parameters of the collective Hamiltonian. The methods developed are used in analyzing the variable-moment-of-inertia (VMI) model, which describes fairly accurately the properties of the main excitation band of atomic nuclei in the transition region.
