Description

With the aim to develop and improve the utilization of new materials, CDTN and UFMG have been working in a project for production, characterization and use of adsorbents in gas separation process, during incineration of low and intermediate levels radioactive wastes. As the first goal, the project intends the production of oxygen by air separation, which is carried out by PSA process over a 5 A type zeolite adsorbent bed. In this paper a PSA unit is presented, with the purpose of developing air separation process with adsorption, having a gaseous flow with 50% of oxygen. (author). 5 refs., 5 figs., 2 tabs
