Determination of radium in the mineral waters using sorbent MnO2-PAN (presentation)

Description

For the separation of the 226Ra from natural mineral water was applied the separation method based on the principle of the extraction chromatography with the use of a selective commercial sorbent MnO2-PAN, to minimize formation of dangerous inorganic and organic waste. MnO2-PAN is a new sorbent to be different from the absorbent MnO2-PAN by binding polyacrylonitrile to its surface, thereby ensuring its high stability. The sample is then adjusted for alpha measuring by coprecipitation with Ba2+.
