Growth of the neck in sintering of spherical particles

Description

The fundamentals of the physics of sintering were played in theoretical investigations. When deriving the sintering equations, it is necessary to solve the diffusion equation. The aim of the present work was to improve the accuracy of the equations of sintering of the powders, namely, determination of the dependence of the exponent n in the law x ∼tn on the size of the bridge (the degree of sintering). The results may be used for predicting the thermal stability of nanocrystalline materials and nano-devices
