Nuclear power plants
Description
Purpose: To suppress the radioactive deposits on structural members such as primary coolant circuit pipeways to be used in contact with solution containing radioactive materials dissolved therein. Constitution: Non-radioactive oxide membrane is previously formed on the surface of metal structural members (as made of stainless steel, inconel, carbon steel, etc) such as pipeways in contact with the solution containing radioactive materials dissolved therein. The content of chromium in the oxide membrane is to be 12 - 65 % by weight. (Ikeda, J.)
