Description

Exact solution for the electromagnetic field produced by a uniformly magnetized oblique-rotator is derived under the strict vacuum condition (phi = 0 everywhere). The 'vacuum solution' Asup(V) is obtained by successive operations of the rigid-rotation, retardation and radiation operators on the 'rest solution' A0 (the vector potential in the absence of rotation). The explicit forms of these operators are given for the case of a spherical rotator with radius a. The potentials (phisup(V) = 0 and Asup(V)) and the fields (Esup(V) and Bsup(V)) are all expressed in the real forms, and the fields reduce to the Endean-Allen solution (1970) in the limit of an orthogonal point dipole (i.e., a → 0 and μ transverse Ω). It is also shown by the aid of a description in a rotating frame that the rotation of a magnetized matter induces the polarization current in the rest frame, which can be regarded as an effective change in the magnetization.
