Crystallization in the Sb2O3-Nb2O5-KF-H2O system

Description
Experimental results are presented from a study of phase formation conditions in the Sb2O3-Nb2O5-KF-H2O system at 500-650degC with a temperature gradient of 0.2-2deg per centimeter and pressure of 1500-1800 atm. The sequence of formation of Sb2O3, Nb2O5, SbNbO4, and K2NbF7 did not depend on the ratio of the initial amounts of Sb2O3 and Nb2O5 but was determined by the KF aqueous solution concentration. The preparation of monocrystals and study of their structure and piezoferroelectric properties are described
