Effect of grain boundary states on recrystallization under critical deformations in armco iron

  • 1. Gor'kovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)

Description

Studied is grain growth for armco iron with different grain boundary states formed by microalloying with REM (by yttrium, neodium, praseodium) in the 0.2% quantity after deformation with critical degrees at the annealing temperatures of 780, 830, 880, 930 and 1100 deg C. It is found that REM decreases the grain boundary energy, that can cause the change of critical deformation values. It is made the conclusion that grain growth at the critical deformation degree is conretely defined by the merging mechanism
