Optogalvanic spectroscopy of uranium

Description
The optogalvanic spectroscopy of uranium can be detected in a uranium hollow-cathode lamp irradiated by a ring tunable dye laser. The optogalvanic spectroscopy of uranium in the 570-615 nm region is obtained while the dye laser is continuously tuned with a retarded servo motor by driving a 3-plate birefringent filter. The isotope shift of uranium and the hyperfine structure of uranium-235 are measured while the dye laser is finely tuned with a piezoelectric ceramic modulating a F-P
