Microscopic description of the fusion reaction D+T→n+α

Description
Fundamentally new equations proposed previously by the author are used for a microscopic description of the low-energy cross section for the fusion reaction D+T→n+α. A readily available and reliable method, the so-called cluster approximation, for numerical solution of these equations is found and justified. Numerical calculations which use only data of the NN interaction reproduce correctly the position and amplitude of the resonance in the cross section for this reaction. 14 refs., 5 figs., 1 tab
